Birthdays!!!

Well....The twins turned one on the 8th and had their first birthday party on the 14th. Jason's mom got into town on 10th so we waited for her before we had the big party. They had a lot of fun, but got tired before all the presents were opened. Which meant that they got to have fun the next day too. After their party was over and all of the guests left, we took them swimming for the first time. Jason took Kimbry in the big pool and Gran took Kenadie in the baby pool. They both had a great time. Camryn wasn't sold on the whole "being in water" idea. We got her to hang her feet in the pool but that was it. When we got home, she said she'd go in the water if Mama went with her. We waited a few days and went back. She still wanted to get just her feet wet, but I had gotten dressed for the event too. I carried her right on into the water. It was a tad cold, but we got used to it. I didn't stay in very long. Camryn, however, didn't want to get out. I think we finally broke her fear of water! We had her birthday party yesterday. She didn't like the attention she got and threw a fit. The only thing she wanted to do was cut into her cake and have some ice cream. Good girl!! She opened her presents this morning and loved it and then we took the girls to Wal-Mart and had their pictures taken in their matching khaki shorts and Ragin' Cajun t-shirts that Gran and Pa had made for them. Tomorrow is Camryn's 4th birthday and I believe Gran is leaving. The girls all adore her and we'll all miss her like crazy. Things seem to go so much smoother when there's an extra set of hands to help out. I'm sure I'll feel like having a meltdown before all is said and done. Maybe not....after all I've survived 4 years of Camryn and a full year of Camryn and the twins. Hmmm....Guess we'll see. All in all, the Wilfong family is doig great!!!

Happy Anniversary!!

Well, yesterday was a special day for Jason and me. Five years together and three married. Wow...time sure does fly. Like any relationship, we've had our ups and downs, but in the end, I'm glad I've got him. He accepts me for who I am and still makes me laugh like crazy. We went to Wal-Mart after we went to dinner (without kids, thanks to my sister and her hubby) and got to hold hands for the first time in...a VERY LONG time. It only lasted for a few minutes because it felt pretty strange, but we walked side by side, pushing each other around and laughing. Somehow that felt better (or maybe just normal) for us and I'm very grateful he's in my life.

You Are Very Warm

You are kind, caring, and empathetic. A lot of warm energy radiates from you.
And it's not an act - you truly like people. You get a charge from people being around you.

You are are easy going and very socially adaptable. You're willing to overlook peoples'quirks.
You enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and helping them if you can. Giving makes you feel good.

Just a few things...

Alrighty then.. I guess we'll see if I'm smart enough to figure all of this blog stuff out. I doubt it, but only time will tell. The Wilfong family has been much the same as always. Right now both of the babies are asleep, and might stay that way if their big sister would let them be. Fat chance. At least she loves them...that's what I keep telling myself. They've all been doing well. I took them to the doctor last Tuesday for Well Baby check-ups. Camryn is about 34 inches tall and 33 1/2 pounds. She was given FIVE shots (I thought I'd pass out when I heard that number!) and the babies each got 3 pokes. Kimbry is 27 1/4 inches long and a whopping 16 pounds, 12 ounces. She never turns down something to eat. Kenadie is 26 3/4 inches long and weighs 16 pounds, 2 ounces. She's still pretty laid-back, but is developing quite a temper. Camryn talks about how she can't wait for school and says new, big words every day. She's sharp as a tack and as beautiful as can be. Kimbry likes to sit and yell "Dadadada!" And my Kenadie loves patty-cake. She almost always has her little hands clapping. Jason is Jason and those of you that know him know exactly what I'm talking about. And I am just loving every day I have with the 4 most special people in my life.
